You send the details
Address, photos, and a rough size. We tell you if $0.20/sq ft applies or if the site needs a custom number.

Ground has to be ready
Soil graded, debris off, decent seed-to-soil contact. We can advise or quote prep if the lot is still rough.

We spray the slurry
Seed, mulch, fertilizer, and tackifier go down in one even coat. The green dye shows coverage before it fades.

You keep it moist
Light, frequent watering until it knits. First mow is usually 4 to 6 weeks. We leave simple aftercare notes.

Before you book
Is $0.20 per square foot the final price?
For a typical, accessible, hydroseeding-only job, yes, that is what we charge most of the time. Steep slopes, bonded-fiber mixes, extra soil prep, long hose pulls, or very small yards can price differently. The calculator is an estimate; the quote is the number that matters.
When is the best time to hydroseed in Kentucky?
Cool-season mixes (tall fescue and similar) do best in early fall and in spring after the last hard freeze. Warm-season work wants late spring into early summer. We will tell you if your date is a good window or if you should wait.
How soon will I see grass?
In decent weather you often see germination in 5 to 10 days. Plan on 4 to 6 weeks to first mow and a full season to look like an established lawn. Watering in those first weeks is the difference between a thick stand and a thin one.
Do I need to do anything before you arrive?
The soil should be graded, reasonably smooth, and free of rocks, trash, and heavy weeds. We also need a large water source on or next to the job so we can fill the tank, such as a river, lake, pond, or a metered fire hydrant. If the lot is still a construction mess or water access is tight, say so on the quote form.
Is this better than sod or regular seed?
Sod is instant and expensive. Dry seed is cheap and patchy, especially on slopes. Hydroseeding sits in the middle: much less than sod, more reliable than broadcast seed, and the mulch helps hold soil on banks.
